Embrace the season with neroli, blood orange, benzoin, ho wood and cardamom.
It's more than just a scent. It's a source of joy and magic for your daily life. More than just uplifting your spirit, it acts as a steadfast anchor, guiding you through the complexities of the winter season and its ever-evolving challenges.
It whispers to your soul to slow down, to gracefully decline some plans and encourages you to embrace more moments of rest, just as nature does during this time of year.
10ml
Inhale the magic: Place a single drop onto your palm, then rub your hands together and breathe in. By inhaling, essential oils engage with the limbic system, the emotional centre of the brain, triggering emotional responses, enhancing memory, and promoting overall well-being. Inhaling Wintering is a reminder to take it slow and rest more.
Self-care: For a cosy wintering bath add 5-7 drops to a warm bath when it's cold outside and you want a cosy bath to melt away the day. As the blend disperses in the steam, it not only fills the air with its soothing aroma but also allows you to absorb its beneficial properties.
Add a couple of drops to a warm face cloth after your shower, place the cloth over your face, inhale the oils then wipe over your body.
Diffuse: Use this blend in the Alchemy Aroma Diffuser to create a calm atmosphere wherever you are. The scent will help you to remember that it is ok to stay in when it is cooler outside and honour the season
Carry Wintering with you so you can roll on your skin to remind you of the seasonal changes.
Also available in a Roller Blend and Aromatherapy Mist
In December 2022 I read Kathrine May's book, Wintering. It's such an inspiring book that shows how difficult times can be opportunities for growth. It's like a guide that helps you see the good even when things are tough. The author, Katherine May, shares stories and wisdom that show how slowing down and facing hard times can actually help us become stronger and find new ways to thrive. It's all about finding hope and learning from the tough times in life.
After I had read this book, I immediately cancelled any social plans in January and took the opportunity to 'winter'. From doing this, I discovered that January wasn't as bad as it normally seems. It was empowering saying no to things and my body enjoyed the rest. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I 'wintered' until mid-March.
I found that I created space in my mind for more creativity and out of that, the idea to make a Wintering blend was born.
I hope you enjoy this scent as much as I enjoyed creating it. The essential oils which I chose for this blend, have not been used in any of my other scents. It really is truly unique and one I am so very proud of.
